Andrea, the hostess, was very welcoming, and the property had a homely feeling to it. There was a welcome sign with my name on it, and I was offered a welcome beverage. The various rooms were tastefully decorated with a variety of artwork. My room was very spacious, and I also had a balcony with chairs and a table. It was relaxing to sit there in the early mornings. The bed was very comfortable, and there were several hangers in the closet. There were both a.c. and a ceiling fan. I mainly used the ceiling fan as the weather wasn't that warm for me. There was a TV in my room, but I never watched it. The flow of the water in the bathroom was very good, and the toiletries were in good sized bottles which were refilled if needed. They also smelt nice. I liked that there were hooks behind the bathroom door and a towel rack. I also noticed that there was an additional restroom outside my room which I thought to be helpful in the event that you are sharing your room and the bedroom restroom is occupied. The grounds were well kept and had a variety of fruit trees. The pool was kid-friendly, and there were both a restroom and a changing room along with an outdoor shower. Two of my favourite spots were the hammock under the breadfruit tree (perfect after sightseeing), and the sitting area by the upstairs balcony to enjoy my evening tea. There was also a tea station which I found to be very handy. I only had breakfast at the property, and it was a great way to start the day. It included fruits, porridge, freshly made juice, and a typical Jamaican breakfast with ground provisions. As stated on the website, a pretty decent beach is seven minutes walk away, and the town is 5 minutes walk away using a shortcut. The neighbourhood is safe, and there are usually persons around. Finally, the location was ideally located especially if you are travelling via Knutsford Express. Andrea was even kind enough to take me to Knutsford Express when I was departing.

A beautiful building and peaceful location surrounded by fruit trees. The bedroom was very comfortable and everything is decorated and furnished to a high quality. Breakfasts in the morning were super tasty and different everyday. I loved that I got to try local cuisine cooked so well! The location is a quick walk town the hill to the local town Lucea and Watson Taylor Park beach. It was a clean and well looked after beach and you often have the beach to yourself! Staff a the Blue Paloma were always very helpful with advice and booking taxis. We went to a few local restaurants in the evening and you need a taxi or car to get there. Peppe Monte or Reggae Paradise (walkable distance but probably not good journey to walk in the dark). The supermarkets in town have everything you need and the best patty we had was at Juicy Patties! I definitely think we would have benefitted from having a car as it’s a very quiet place (which was lovely and much needed!) but it’s expensive to get chartered taxis and do excursions. We used local taxis from the depot in town to move around locally like to Negril but the driving was pretty precarious and they do stop a lot but very cheap in comparison. We paid 800 Jamaican dollars to get to Negril and a chartered taxi would be about 60 USD or more. We loved seeing the authentic Jamaica and getting to know the locals in town. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay.

My husband surprised me with a stay at this wonderful place as one of my anniversary gifts, and let me tell you, it was PERFECT 🥰! After we checked in, the first thing I thought of was Stephanie Mills' song, HOME. Some of the words immediately came to my mind. "When I think of home, I think of a resting place.... A place where there's peace, quiet, and serenity.....a place with love overflowing..." It was all of that and then some! The decor was amazing, just as pictured in the ad, and the staff were just as amazing as the stay. We were greeted by Tanya (unsure of how she spells it), who was very gracious with a bright smile even though we arrived late. We arrived late, but it felt like we just made it home late in the comforts of home, so we slept like a baby. The morning was quiet, but there was a scent of breakfast being prepared, just like home. The breakfast and dinner meal was prepared by a wonderful chef, Chef Conroy. Seating was at a long table, with other guests, like family, just like home. We ventured off to the beach after breakfast. The sea was rough yet relaxing to listen to as it slapped the sand at shore and crashed upon the rocks. Afterward, we walked to town and back through the neighborhood and circled back to HOME.😊 We will definitely add this to a place to return to in the future. Thank you, Andrea and staff, for a wonderful stay!!!

Though our stay at Blue Paloma was a short phase 😊, it has definitely left a lasting and fantastic impression. The bluish-gray roof and walls of the Paloma greeted us as we approached the corner. It was exactly as pictured and advertised. Upon driving in, it felt like we were coming home. And then, once we met Andrea, Tania, and Chef Conroy, it definitely felt like home. We felt so welcomed, comfortable, taken care of and safe. The property is nicely decorated, has all the comforts of home, is very clean and well-maintained. Two of our favorite spots were the spacious and relaxing upstairs living room/sitting area and the large upstairs balcony overlooking the neighborhood. I also loved that our room had a balcony that allowed us to enjoy the outdoors from the privacy of our room. Hopefully next time it will be sunny so we can enjoy the pool. And, let me tell you, the food was divine! I wish we had more days there to indulge in chef Conroy’s breakfasts and dinners. Everything …including the juices and salad dressings are from scratch. We will most definitely be staying here again soon and will highly recommend it to our family and friends!

I would stay here again, especially if I had a car. I think Andrea, the host, was extraordinary, and all her staff were wonderful. I was a bit shy about sharing a space at the breakfast table with other guests whom I didn't know, but we all ended up talking with each other, for the most part. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're seeking an experience *off* the touristy path. I'm a Jamaican, so I know the island well, and this parish of Jamaica is truly lovely.
